Minister of State for Europe and Climate of the Federal Republic of Germany

Anna Lührmann is the Minister of State for Europe and Climate at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and a Member of the German Bundestag. Ms Lührmann has also served as Deputy Director of the Varieties of Democracy Institute and as a Junior professor at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Her work experience is complemented by having provided consultation services for the United Nations Development Programme and electoral and parliamentary consultation in the Sudan. She holds a Master’s degree and doctorate in Politics at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin on the subject of promoting democracy.
