Cezara Panait is a human rights lawyer and digital policy professional with comprehensive knowledge of legal, policy and regulatory issues. She works as a Senior Analyst in the Google Government Affairs and Public Policies team for the Central and Eastern Europe region, focusing on Romania.
Cezara graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest and holds a Master’s degree, LL.M. in Human Rights, from the Central European University. She frequently published press articles and moderated high-level debates with policy-makers on emerging technologies topics.
She also acted as trainer, facilitator and researcher on digital policies in several countries around Europe and the United States. She won international awards for developing policy proposals on AI ethics, online content and data protection at policy hackathons. Through her activities, she wants to contribute to strengthening an open and transparent debate framework between all actors involved in the decision-making process.
