Davor Filipović is Minister of Economy and Sustainable Develepoment of the Republic of Croatia. From 2014, he was assistant and associate professor at the Department of Organization and Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of INA d.d.In 2013, the biggest Croatian oil and gas state company and president of the Supervisory Board, Hrvatske šume Ltd.
He received the National Science Award for research assistants in the field of social sciences for an extraordinary contribution to economics, based on his published book Challenges of integration processes: the growth of companies through mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances, as well as a number of scientific papers. In 2014, he attended Harvard Kennedy School, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education: Art and Practice of Leadership Development, Andronico Lukšić Fellowship. At the 2012 EDAMBA Thesis Competition, in competition with 67 universities from 25 countries, his doctoral thesis ‘Modelling exogenous and endogenous variables of the organization for a successful business takeover’ was assessed as a valuable scientific work and included in top 10 dissertations. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 papers (books, scientific and professional papers).
Minister Filipović is a member of the Croatian Democratic Union and, was a representative in Zagreb City Committee for 5 years.
He was born on 10 June 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and is married, has one child.
