H.E. Edi Rama

Edi Rama is the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania and Chair of the Socialist Party of Albania. He is married to Mrs. Linda Rama and they have three children, Greg, Rea and Zaho. Rama entered politics in the capacity of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, in 1998. Rama has held numerous important positions including Mayor of Tirana, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chair of the organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Contribution in arts, sports and teaching, as a publicist and politician. Former: professor of painting, Academy of Fine Arts; player, national basketball team. Author of two books: “Kurban”, “Work” Recipient of awards: “World Mayor Award”; “European Hero Award”, Time Magazine, “Global Innovator”, Vital Voices; “Joan Ganz Cooney Global Leadership Award”, Sesame Workshop.
