Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria & Co-Leader of We Continue the Change

Kiril Petkov is co-founder and co-leader of We Continue the Change, a leading political party in Bulgaria. He was the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria from December 13, 2021, to August 2, 2022. During the first caretaker cabinet of President Rumen Radev from May 12, 2021, to September 15, 2021, he held the position of Minister of Economy. In 2018, Petkov created the Center for Applied Research and Innovation in the Natural Sciences (CASI) at the Faculty of Biology of “St. Kliment Ohridski” university. Kiril Petkov is one of the founders of the Center for Economic Strategies and Competitiveness at “St. Kliment Ohridski” university, affiliated with Harvard University. At the Center, he taught economic development and microeconomics of competitiveness. He has extensive experience as an entrepreneur and has developed projects in the field of innovation with high-added value, as well as businesses in developing probiotics and biotechnology. Kiril Petkov graduated in finance from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and an MBA from Harvard University, where he ranked in the top 10 of his graduating class.
