Lili Bayer is Senior Reporter, NATO and Central Europe, for POLITICO Europe. Prior to this, Lili focused on lobbying, transparency, and the rule of law. She was previously a correspondent in Budapest, where she covered Hungarian politics and Central Europe’s relationship with Brussels. Lili earned a master’s degree in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She grew up in Israel and the United States.
