Cybersecurity and Digital Diplomacy Coordinator, Microsoft

Marius Houwen is the Cybersecurity and Digital Diplomacy Coordinator at Microsoft European Government Affairs in Brussels. Here, he is part of the team that works on cyber diplomacy, cyber defense policy, foreign and security policy, cyber threat intelligence and cyber capacity building. Previously, he worked as a cybersecurity consultant for Nixu Corporation, and conducted research for the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and Carnegie Europe. In 2023, Marius was selected among 35 young leaders on the Santander-CIDOB 35 under 35 list. He holds a M.A. in Global Security and Strategy (Cum Laude) from the Brussels School of Governance and Bsc. in Security Studies from Leiden University.
