Mehwish Ansari

Mehwish is Head of Digital at ARTICLE 19, an international human rights organization. There, she leads the Global Digital Program, which works on building human rights considerations in the design, development, standardization, and deployment of internet infrastructure. Since joining ARTICLE 19 in 2016, Mehwish has led its engagement at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a UN specialized agency. Previously, Mehwish worked at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) as part of the Speech, Privacy & Technology Project and the Human Rights Program. She holds an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University.
