State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic

State Secretary Peter Mišík started his diplomatic career in 1993. He initially worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic and after at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Bonn and later in Berlin. From 1999 to 2002 he held the position of Director of NATO and WEU Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. In 2002, he was appointed as Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Berlin and from 2003 to 2007 as Consul General in Munich. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Austria and as Permanent Representative to the UN and other International Organizations in Vienna.  

State Secretary Mišík has previously served as Director of the CFSP Department at the Slovak MFEA; Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee of the EU at the Slovak Permanent Mission to the EU; Director of the Foreign Relations Department in the Office of President of the Slovak Republic and Political Director at the Slovak MFEA.  

State Secretary Mišík completed his studies at the Institute of International Relations, Faculty of Law, Comenius University, Bratislava.
