Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) 

Dr. Roy Chun Lee is currently the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Before joining Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Taiwan WTO and RTA Center, Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) from 2012 to 2023. He was also an advisory committee member of the Advisory Committee of Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council from 2018 to 2020.

He specialized in trade liberalization policy, WTO, services trade, Non-Tariff Measures (TBT and SPS) and regional integration. He was a policy advisor for Taiwan’s trade policy and negotiations and served as capital-based expert for WTO and APEC meetings from 2012 to 2023. 

Dr. Lee graduated with bachelor of laws from Fu Jien Catholic University and master of laws from National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, then received his PhD in Public Policy from the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University.
